John Basedow Brings Treasures to Life with JB’s Fantastic Finds

Gifted entrepreneur and master of many trades John Basedow is sweeping Facebook Media with his latest creation, JB’s Fantastic Finds, a live auction show where viewers can bid on jewelry, trinkets and treasures from every corner of the earth. As an accomplished TV personality, Basedow’s role as JBFF host is what several say sets the show apart from its competitors. 

 

“There are a lot of shows on Facebook, but I choose John’s because it’s so much fun. He’s knowledgeable, friendly and a natural entertainer who really knows how to turn it into a fun experience full of joy and laughter. For me, watching JB’s Fantastic Finds can turn a bad day around. It’s so interactive and everyone is friendly. Their jewelry is amazing and John makes it even more so with his factual research. I get the shopping and the fun out of it,” said viewer Janice Marek.

Basedow’s skyrocketing success with JB’s Fantastic Finds seemed to come out of nowhere, though peeping back into his past can make sense of the acquired skills that brought him to such a point. His first foray into fame began when he graced our TV screens flexing ‘biceps, triceps and even abs’ on those ubiquitous Fitness Made Simple TV commercials that ran 24/7 in the early 2000s. While most just continue along the road of their initial breakthrough, Basedow opted for a different path.

 

“I define success as the ability to 

do what you love, make a living at it, positively impact others and be at the mercy of no one. Various things can do that while bringing you joy in the process, so your first career success doesn’t need to define the rest of your life. Other folk will try to pigeonhole you based on it, but I don’t play that,” said Basedow. 

 

As a man who believes in unlimited possibilities, John went on to pursue many different paths following Fitness Made Simple, including one as a news reporter. This reporting role helped create a skillset that would later benefit him tremendously with JB’s Fantastic Finds. Basedow’s ability to research what he calls ‘gem lore’ and find facts about the various trinkets and treasures he shows on JBFF is deemed to be one of the top assets he brings to the show… to the point that many viewers refer to him as ‘NatGeo John.’

While viewers rave about the treasures they acquire during show time, many cite Basedow and the community he has created with JB’s Fantastic Finds as the main reason they keep watching.

Though it’s still rapidly growing, JB’s Fantastic Finds saw its largest increase in members when Basedow made the bold and unprecedented decision to create a ‘discover your treasure’ themed TV commercial that brought cable television watchers to Facebook Watch. His use of traditional media to market new media proved successful as JBFF members increased from 400 to over 25,000. This trailblazing move turned Basedow’s ‘lil show,’ as he calls it, into an impactful empire full of happy viewers, once again proving his pioneer spirit can change lives. 

 

“I was originally drawn in by the commercial, and I haven’t missed a show since. JB’s Fantastic Finds is a safe zone where you never feel judged, you can joke with others and create real friendships on top of the beautiful artifacts.
