$119,555,515. That is Rory McIlroy’s career official money on the PGA Tour, through October 25, 2026, according to the Tour’s career money list. Only two players have won more: Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods. The gap between McIlroy and fourth place, Justin Rose, is $40.2 million.

Prize money is not where most of his income now comes from. Forbes’ 2026 list of the world’s highest-paid golfers put McIlroy at $77 million, about $50 million of it off the course. Celebrity Net Worth estimates his fortune at $350 million, on a page last updated May 15, 2026. Here is what is documented.

The $100 million club

Bar chart of the PGA Tour's career money leaders: Scottie Scheffler $130.4 million, Tiger Woods $121.0 million, Rory McIlroy $119.6 million (highlighted), Justin Rose $79.4 million and Adam Scott $75.0 million.

Three players have won more than $100 million in PGA Tour official money, and McIlroy was the second to get there, after Woods. Scheffler passed both of them this year when he won the FedEx Cup, as our 2026 PGA Tour money list explains. McIlroy is $1.4 million behind Woods.

In 2026 McIlroy has $11,573,749 in official money through October 25, sixth on the Tour, from one win. That one win was the Masters. According to Wikipedia’s account, he opened with rounds of 67 and 65 to build a six-stroke lead and successfully defended the title he won in 2025, when he completed the career grand slam. He is the sixth man to win all four modern majors, after Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Woods, and the first European.

His official money excludes bonus programs. In 2022 he became the first player to win the FedEx Cup three times, and those bonuses are not in the $119.6 million.

Where the rest comes from

Forbes estimates McIlroy earned about $50 million off the course in the 12 months to May 2026, which is roughly two-thirds of his $77 million total. His Forbes profile lists Nike, Omega, Optum and TaylorMade as sponsors. The values of those deals have not been disclosed, so we do not estimate them.

His business interests go beyond endorsements:

  • TMRW Sports. He founded it in 2022 with Woods and former Golf Channel executive Mike McCarley. Its first project is TGL, an indoor golf league with an ESPN broadcast deal. A 2024 funding round valued TMRW Sports at $500 million.
  • Team and company stakes. Wikipedia lists investments in the Alpine Formula 1 team’s investor group (2023) and the ticket marketplace TickPick (2024).
  • TPG Sports. In May 2025 he partnered with the private equity firm TPG to form an investment fund aimed at the sports sector.

We do not know the size of his stakes in any of these, so none is valued here. The structure is the point: like Tiger Woods, McIlroy is turning golf fame into equity rather than relying only on prize money and sponsor fees.

What he is worth

Celebrity Net Worth’s $350 million is one outlet’s estimate. Against the documented numbers it is plausible: $119.6 million in PGA Tour prize money, DP World Tour and bonus earnings on top of that, and years of endorsement income that Forbes now puts at about $50 million a year. No public filing settles it.

The bottom line

McIlroy is golf’s clearest example of a player whose income is no longer driven by the scoreboard. He sits third on the all-time money list and keeps winning majors, but two-thirds of his 2026 earnings come from sponsors and businesses. With TMRW Sports and TPG Sports, he is also building the kind of equity that made Woods a billionaire.
